WORLD MENTAL HEALTH DAY:
OCTOBER 10, 1999
THEME: MENTAL HEALTH AND AGEING
World Mental Health Day was first proclaimed by the World Federation for Mental Health in 1992. The Day is co-sponsored by the World Health Organization, a specialized agency of the United Nations. Participants are encouraged to use the 1999 theme, “Mental Health And Ageing” when planning activities. You are welcome, however, to address whatever issue is most appropriate to your community’s needs.
