A proclamation-signing ceremony took place at “Friendship House.” The guest list of dignitaries included the Minister of Health, the leader of the Health Committee in Parliament, the Director of Psychiatric Research Institute, the Chief Psychiatrist for Georgia, and the President of the Georgian Association of Mental Health. Activities included a film presentation and an exhibition of the works of mental health patients. The UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights was translated and distributed, and served as the theme for the event.
