INSTRUCTIONS
FOR SUBMISSION

All
submissions must adhere to the following format in order to be considered for
inclusion in the project.

CASE STUDY FORMAT:

• 
Title of the Program or Activity

• 
Goal or Aim of the Program or Activity (Briefly
state the principal goals, aims and intended outcome of the program or activity.
What did you want to do, and what did you hope to achieve?)

• 
Method and design (Briefly
describe the methodology and design of your program or activity. What were the
main elements of the program and how were they carried out? What were the outcome
parameters and how were these assessed?)

• 
Results   (Tell
us how the program or activity turned out, especially in relation to the outcome
parameters)

• 
Evaluation: quantitative and qualitative (Were
the goals and aims of the program achieved? What could be the reasons for the
success of successful elements and lack of success of other elements?)

• 
Impact of the Program:   (Describe
the mental health, social and/ or economic impact of the intervention within
the country, region or the world; and how it was utilized for advocacy to encourage
a higher priority for mental health promotion)

Follow up and future plans: (Share
with us any planned follow-up activities for this program or activity, or plans
for expanded or new mental health promotion programs or activities related to
this programme)

REVIEW
CRITERIA:

A
panel of WFMH and WHO members will review the submitted case studies to select
those to be included in the publication. Among the criteria the judges will
consider are:

• 
Population served

• 
Programs in high need/low resource areas

• 
Innovativeness of the program in meeting special
needs of the region/context

• 
Efficiency in utilization of resources

• 
Clarity of process and content description

• 
Clarity of outcome criteria and measurement.

THE
LENGTH OF THE CASE STUDY NARRATIVES (RESPONSE TO QUESTIONS 2 – 7) SHOULD BE
1000 TO 2000 WORDS. MANUSCRIPTS WITH MORE THAN 2000 WORDS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.

TO
BE ELIGIBLE FOR CONSIDERATION, ALL CASE STUDIES MUST BE RECEIVED NO LATER THAN
31 OCTOBER 2003 .

ALL
CASE STUDIES MUST BE SUBMITTED IN ENGLISH, UTILIZING MICROSOFT WORD DOCUMENT.

SUBMISSIONS
MAY BE SENT BY E-MAIL ATTACHMENT, UNLESS SUPPLEMENTAL MATERIALS (pamphlets,
brochures, and other illustrations of the program or activity) ACCOMPANY THE
CASE STUDY. IN SUCH INSTANCES, THE ENTIRE SUBMISSION SHOULD BE MADE BY POSTAL
OR COURIER   (FedEx, UPS) SERVICE ALONG WITH THE DISKETTE.
